WSE Portugal to Host 2nd Annual Fun Run for Charity

Wall Street English Portugal is hosting a Fun Run for Charity on May 31st in Monsanto Park in Lisbon.
The event will support donations to 3 charitable organizations:
• Operation Red Nose is a charity that provides clowns and psycho therapeutic services to children with critical or terminal illness.
• CAIS Association is a charity that supports homeless people through its network of support.
• Mission Kanimambo supports educational and social programs for albino children is Mozambique that are subject to social and cultural exclusion.
Athletes can run or walk either a 10 kms or 4 kms circuit. A portion of all the registration fees will go to the charitable organizations. They are also collecting material donations including clothing items and hygiene products. The Mission Kanimambo is in particular need of hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
“Charity shouldn’t be just a spontaneous act of good will, but a relentless battle to bring a little justice to those who are less fortunate than we,” said Darren Swan, Owner WSE Iberia.
This is the second year WSE Portugal is sponsoring the event. Last year, nearly 1000 people participated and they were able to donate more than 118 kg of food, 9 kg of school supplies and books, 41 kg of clothing, 9.5 kg of hygiene products, and 15 kg of toys.
